HOW TO MAKE THESE SETTING ON THE SX10

1. turn dial to SCN.

2. turn wheel pad to "color accent" mode

3. press the disp button, tool bar shows up at bottom. with left arrow and color box and white box in center of screen

4. look for the color you want to grab "highlight" using the white box in the center of screen.

5. press left on the wheel pad when color is found.

6. color you select should show up in color box next to left arrow .

7. press disp button or picture button to set color. color will stay untill another color is selected.

8. Have fun. and let me know if this helps. if you need more help just let me know

Or with the color accent function on your camera. Switch the dial on top to SCN then turn the circluar dial thats next to the LCD till you see color accent.

I vote for the full sky......it balances better. 2/3's sky, 1/3 countryside. Also it puts the s clouds into the middle section and that really brings them to the viewers attention better. JMO I love the photo BTW!

Exactly the way I liked to have too.

Perhaps a bit more contrast to bring out more blue of the sky ?

Great picture. Again, whats that description for this kind of painting.

Yes, the SX1 supports Colour Accent and Colour Swap. They can be found as two of the SCN settings.

Thanks Lensmen, I am very impressed with this forum. Can't wait to get the camera. Ordered it online on Thursday from Melbourne so should be here in Tassie in a day or two. I've only ever owned point and shoot but this will be great. I love taking photos of flowers, moss etc. so the macro and supermacro will get a work out. This colour accent I never really thought about but the shots are awesome.
I am keen to do some waterfalls in longer exposure. I'll check out the google image free download you suggest too.
Great site.
Thanks all for the photos and ideas.

When you get the camera, the only 2 things I'd like you to do is to spend a bit of time looking thru the manual, to familarize yourself with the setting, and then get yourself a set of rechargable AA batteries (or make it 2 sets).

Then go out and shoot as much as your battery and memory card lasted you.

Practice makes perfect.

have fun

Thanks all for the photos and ideas.
