nothing to shoot, so i went out back after cutting the grass, just trying to get the hang of the camera...

Nice colors, but I think I'd have used f/22 on that one as the brightest parts of the pic draw my attention away from the darker foreground tree. If that tree had been the brightest thing in the pic, or at least a brighter thing, then the shallow DOF would have worked.
