I need a nice photo oriented blog.
I plan to use it to highlight my photography and help market my photo-biz (portrait & weddings)
I love this blog - Annie Tao (http://www.annietaoblog.com/) - Nice feel with large photos and little or no clutter. Annie is a friend and she told me her husband is an IT guy and does a completely custom blog for her....
Well I don't have an IT guy for my blog but I sure would like something with a similar [B]easy feel with large photos.
I have tried the google blogger site and find the photo sizes they allow are just too small and the templates provided are not really photo oriented.
Anyone know where I should get started?

You could try prophotoblog :) I use it for mine.

It makes updating etc very very easy, but you need your own webspace.

http://wordpress.org if you want to get a domain and hosting. There are hundreds of free templates out there that you can use. Try searching Google for "Wordpress Photo Blog Themes" for some ideas.
$179 for a blog theme is just stupid IMO. Find a free one, and change it to your liking.

It isn't just a theme, the backend on wordpress has been done to make every modification to the theme dead easy.

While I can't speak for that particular theme, the backend of Wordpress alone is very user friendly.

I agree. This is what I use. Great backend for Wordpress. They even have an option where they will install it for you if you don't feel comfortable installing Wordpress on your own hosting. Many webhosts now have an easy install for Wordpress so that is even less of an issue.
Actually it is worth the money spent. Here's a coupon code for $10 off if you choose to go with it. JACUFF2232

Have you tried Shotblogs? www.shotblogs.com
It is clean and pretty.. Very straight lines puts your images in a gallery type format or in a larger type.
Here is one photographers blog that uses both formats for her images: I found her clicking "Random blog"
http://clairerenee.shotblogs.com/ (http://clairerenee.shotblogs.com/)
Here is my old blog LOL two posts! woot. haven't been there in almost a year:

Have you thought of hosting your own blog? Not using a wordpress , blog spot , shotblog type blog?
I am self hosting my own blog right now, which is why my shotblog didn't last very long...

Not for changing things WITHIN a theme though.

This (http://www.tofurious.com/professional-photography-blog-theme/) is what I use for mine... $30 for the theme. Is not free, but I also wanted to display large images.
