Does anyone know if there is a DOF calculator that is available? Not the download for the palm, but an actual handheld calculator? Thanks!

My apologies if I’m mistaken, but you mean an actual, physical device to calculate DOF? I doubt there is one. Of course, you could always get on of the more expensive programmable calculators (Texas Instruments TI-83 for example) and write a program yourself… I don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for though

Yes, that's what I mean. There's a program you can download to your palm pilot that you can in the field. I guess if they have on-line DOF calculators, I wonder why someone hasn't made one for the field?

What's wrong with having the DOF calculator running on a PDA? I'm sure it'll be just a accessible or convenient as a dedicated DOF calculator.

What's wrong with a palm-based version? You can get an old Palm III for probably $20-30 and run any number DOF calculator programs. I'm kinda partial to pCAM. It has a nice GUI.

DOF Master (http://www.dofmaster.com/custom.html)will show you how to make your own depth-of-field wheel, as well as Windows and Palm downloads.
