I was thinking of getting 20D at costco.com but....theres no warranty on that camera.... I've heard something about a lifetime return policy, opened box, no questions asked. Where does it say that on the site? So....let's say something breaks (even 10 yeras later), then I return it for a full refund and buy another one? Isn't that bad for costco?

CostCo does have a reputation for having a liberal return policy. They have a Risk-Free 100% Satisfaction guarantee. If you search online, you'll find stories about how people have returned all sorts of stuff well after what most other stores would accept with no problems. It seems, however, that notebook and desktop systems have a 6 month return period. Cameras, I have no idea.

What? It's a grey market import? If it's a legitimate Canon USA import, Canon will warranty it. If it's a return being resold then Costco had certainly better be willing to provide at least that much guarantee, as well as a price break.

I will second what Steven just wrote. Don't know about 10 years though. Costco is great! I ordered mine from them mainly because of their liberal return policy (and good price). Should get it soon! Can't wait!

That is strange since the rebate according to Canon is only offer thru purchases made from authorize dealers. Costco, last I understand is not and authorized dealer on any of the major players and therefore offer their own return/warrantee policies. I might heard wrong.

Costco has a link to the Canon rebate on their site. I can't believe Costco is selling this without a warranty.

$1299 after rebate

I read the disclaimer while visiting the store and spoke to the Costco sale rep. On the plus side they offer equal or better in house warrantee for product they sell. So if anything goes wrong they will give you a replacement or full refund for the life of the warrantee or better. That is not all bad. Then again this was over a year ago.
