View Full Version : Cheapo Underwater Housing for SD1200?

I just bought an SD1200 from B&H and checked off the $29.95 underwater housing accessory. After looking around at various housing options that are a lot more expensive Iīm wondering if this one is about like placing the camera in sealed baggie. I donīt plan to use it deeper than maybe a meter while snorkling so maybe it will be ok for that. Any experience with this cheapo option?

i use a DICAPAC waterproof case.... brought my IXUS down to 30m scuaba diving no problems... u can consider it, available on ebay.

For a cheap underwater housing that has pretty good reviews Dicapac is probably your best bet.

I am considering one for the used SD800 IS I just picked up if I can't get a Canon housing on rebate before my September trip.

Just missed the Canon rebates on the Housing but at the time I did not have a P&S to fit :(
