Was out at 05.00 in the wood and met the pigs that live in our woods.
Taken with 70-200 f4 cropped a bit hope you like them.

Pretty cool, where was that at? Wish I could get a good look at the little piglets. They look cute.

Werent you afraid? I know that wild pigs are quite aggressive when it comes to protecting the youth...

Thanks for your concern, You have to be careful, but a zoom lens helps to keep out of the danger zone.

Very nice pics. Its uncommon to see the whole family. If it did not have had the little ones, that would be a nice target for a different type of optics (i.e. the Leupold that is installed on my Winchester :D) And ready for stew and grill.... wow :)

That is so cool, and I would have been afraid if I were you. Especially if it had a set of those long tusk things. They can do a lot of damage, but those shots are so cool. Rare find!

More specifically Piglet, one of Pooh's friends.

The attraction for me is wild animals in their natural habitat. I find it fascinating to see. While I can see deer and coyote fairly regular I have never seen a wild pig. Thanks for posting them all.

I have the same attraction. I'm not fond of full frame animals.I always have the idea that they come form a zoo.
I prefer to take photo's when I'm out in the country side and to have the animals framed in their habitat to get the right mood.
As we have a lot of pigs in our area and you seldom see a wild pig I post another one for you.

Nice pig shots! I enjoyed them all. Thanks for sharing, I doubt I will ever get to see a wild pig myself except in photos.
