I am new to Photoshop. Any masters out there would give me a link or recommend books, CDs....to learn. Also, where do I download or buy the comprehensive filter or plug-ins out there?

thanks

That's a great book that ohenry suggested. I also really like "Camera RAW with Adobe Photoshop CS". There should be a CS2 version out soon too.

Deke McClelland's Photoshop Bible is a great read and also a great reference.

The CS2 version has been released (and should be sitting in my hands early next week :) ). The CS2 version of Real World Camera RAW is due out in a couple of weeks. Thanks goodness for these forums - a donation works out tonnes cheaper than buying more books!

Scott Kelby's book is excellent. You might also want to look at the Total Training DVD suite. I have some of their stuff and its very very good:)

A book I found that I'm working through (I'm a beginner to Photoshop too) and I think is really good is "Photoshop CS Accelerated" by IT Publishing Team. Full color, work file CD, and don't let the title fool you- it takes you in baby steps right from the very beginning assuming you know absolutely nothing. About $30, but it's really helping me.

Excellent link Howie. Have Scott Kelby's "Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers" and I agree, it's an excellent book.
