I got a message and info. on how to take pics of fireworks. It is in the M mode which I have not shot in yet. However I wanted to see if I could figure out the settings ahead of time, which I could not. Now, somehow I got a hand icon on the right side of my lcd screen. Do not know which button I pushed to get it there. I think I hit something by mistake. I had a slidebar on the right and then the hand icon appeared. How do I turn it off whatever it is?
Thanx....I looked in the manual and could not find it.

Donna

How dumb am I? Sorry, I just called Canon and they said it was my IS. Funny, I never saw that hand there before. I do not think it was set prior to me fooling with the settings.
Any ideas on shooting fireworks without M setting? It is too difficult being a beginner!
Thanx
