Thought the way the early morning sun was shinning on the river was really neat. Change the water color to a nice golden hue

Wonderful shot, Sandy. The reflection looks like an impressionistic painting.

Nice shot, lovely colors. Do you have a pic that shows more of the top?

Nice colours. I'd like to see a little more of the top if I were taking it.

The Original did show much more of the top, however the reason I did such a tight crop was there were some very UGLY utility wires that cut right across the photo. If I was able to get down and closer to the river I might have been able to shot under them. I'll post the original when I get a chance.. I suppose I could have cloned out the wires but Idon't know how well that would have looked. Thanks all for the comments.

I know what you mean - those utility wires are the bane of every photographer. I wish they'd invent a PS plug-in that automatically clones them out :D

Stoney,

I think you were right on to adjust the colors the way you did. It's a fantastic shot with a lot of interest. I also tend to evaluate my photos for specific color adjustments that change the mood.

This is simply great work!!

There was no adjustment to the colors, just crop and USM. maybe a little brightness and contrast but that was it.

Here is the photo straight out of the camera. All I did was convert from raw resize to 800x600 and use the minimum USM. Notice the Ugly wires. That and I was standing about 200' away and up on a hill.

My mistake. This realization makes this effot even more superb. Keep it up. Great composition, texture and color.

I love the picture...love it...If I may say, I would have cropped the top off, just leave the reflection in the picture...and next time don't be lazy take more shots, it'a not like you are shooting on a film...;)

Regards,
Artan.
