dusted off the trusty Sigma 50-500 to get some shots of the ship which is anchored approx 3km off shore...5000 sailors on shore for some R & R

They both seem to be a little dark, did you use any exposure compensation to allow for the brightness of the sky?

was a real crap day here....overcast..and the sun was almost over head...so made the whole boat dark. Ive played around in CS3 as much as i can. but yeh...they are a little dark.

Nice shots from that distance. I bet those 5000 sailors are taking some pictures that are quite different!
