Hi everyone,

My brother has a telescope and I'd like to buy a T adapter so I can take some photos. My only concern, though, is that when I use his telescope I notice large amounts of condensation after several hours of use. I don't really want to risk ruining my camera because of condensation. So, my question is: does condensation cause problems when attaching a camera to a telescope? and, if so, how would one go about minimising the condensation?

Regards,
Craig

I'm pretty sure it does not do them a lot of good but I had my 40D covered in ice last winter and it kept going like a trooper. The 40D seems to have a reasonable degree of weather sealing.

The higher end camera such as EOS 40D and upwards tend to as said by Chris have decent weatherproofing.

My Sony A700 has as well and that is part of the cost of the camera.

I wouldn't want to get other cheaper camera's too wet. Can you cover it in a clear plastic bag to help keep moisture out ?
