could you somehow convince my fiancee into this breed? i think theyre amazing animals and owuld love to have one. the other half of me doesnt share the same philosophy

She is an amazing breed, but I would recommend reading a book about them, my husband and I read Siberian Huskies for Dummies, and we learned a lot about this breed and what we are getting ourselves into.

If you want an extremely high energetic, personable smart & loveable dog then this is it. We just absolutely love her & she has her own unique personality but our life lately has revolved around her, we want her to be happy so we do things like take her to doggie daycare (which she absolutely loves) We take her hiking, on camping trips and she goes to the farmers market and a few other places with me. We try to keep her active so she doesn't get bored and chew on everythink in the house or yard.

Some down sides to this breed is that they are escape artists, (there are sooo many huskies in shelters because there owners could not keep them secure) so you would need to make sure you have a steardy 6ft fence (although some huskies have been known to jump 8 feet) they also dig a lot, and they shed a lot. They also kill a lot of small animals and if they aren't exposed to young kids as a puppy, they may mistake them for a small mammal to chase down. They aren't vicious or mean but it's the instinct in them to hunt small mammals.

She is a great dog but huskies are not for everyone!

Beautiful puppy. Definitely one of the most loyal breeds ever.....and photogenic to boot. Please feel free to post as many pictures of your pup as possible. :cool:
