Hi all,

I've recently installed the free Google Screensaver and configured it to play an RSS stream from our Smugmug gallery. This produces a full-screen (edge to edge) slideshow of our latest photos in random order, and I'm quite pleased with the presentation. It runs smoothly and scales very nicely to both my desktop 19" and Temple's widescreen laptop.

So now I'm wondering if any of you use a Screensaver slideshow, or have any other software recommendations for this.

I tend to keep unneccessary programs from cluttering up my PC, just have a nice plain desktop and the screen goes blank :D

I use Webshots for my screensaver for x amount of minutes then my pc goes to sleep, till I wake her back up again... But I'll have a look at Google SS.. To each their own I guess, some like them others don't...

Same here. I even strip down unnecessary process from running and take full control of what launches at start up. A minimalist?

I use this one: http://digitalpictureframe.50webs.com/a-slideshow.html. Pretty basic, but does the job.

My monitors shut off after 5 minutes. I do have wallpapers though, of my own eagle shots. But for years, I ran apps like SETI@HOME so screensavers would have just drained resources.
