I was in a local electronics chain store and noticed that they had 2gb Ultra II CF cards. Upon closer inspection the packaging said Ultra II but the cards inside were labeled as "EXTREME." Has anyone else ever seen this?

According to Rob Galbraith (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007)the Extreme and Ultra II are essentially identical in performance in the 20D . Go for it.

I think the extreme is designed to work in a slightly wider range of environmental conditions in addition to being a little faster than the old Ultra2 cards.

However, Sandisk recently downgraded the Ultra2 to be closer in spec to the base cards so an Extreme becomes more worth having. I hope you picked up at least 1.

I bought all that they had...sold one to my friend. By the way it was at Best Buy and I was in today and saw they had some more in stock.
