just some shots from the lake. I thought I would see if anyone thought they had potential. I saved them in low quality to fit on the site. They are pretty darn clear and sharp in their normal state. the pics are of my dad and son..

I like the pose of the first, but perhaps if you stood to the left and had the land as a background to the right of you, the composition could be slightly more interesting.

The second, I love. The blurred background works well with the thoughtful pose and the little kid.

Number 3, I think would have been better if zoomed out a little. If the whole of the kid and the hands were in it I feel it would have more interest.

The last picture, apart from straightening the horizon, I would not change.

First off, thank you for sharing! Secondly regarding the photos...the first one works very well in b&W. Maybe crop so that the subjects aren't in the middle.

The second photo has too much dead space in front of the subjects in my opinion. I agree with it being off to the left of the photo like it is but maybe decrease some of the space in front.

Because the child and the lady seem to be the focus of the photo, I would crop this one 4x6 rather than 6x4 to eliminate the distracting components in the scene (back of the chair, lamp, and stuff on the table)

The 4th photo doesn't have any "wow" factor to it. Birds are photographed frequently so I would look at how to make that a more appealling capture. (Bird looking into camera, different background, taken at dusk or dawn, waiting for wings to open, etc.) The one thing you did very well was take the camera down to the level of the bird. Many times I see shots like these from the human point of view!

Hope the comments help and again, thanks for sharing!
