I wonder how it will stack up against Canon's L's (16-35 or 17-40)... or even the the EF-S 10-22.

I have had tamron lenses before with great success.

this lens is not even on the shelves yet. Give it some time and the real world reviews will start coming in.

I don't know about the Tamron yet, but I know I have been eyeing this one.

Couldn't wait any longer so ended up getting the Canon EFS 10-22mm. But this one looks sweet too.

That's one I didn't see, hmmm that one might be nice too. Again, I wonder how it stacks up.

Better pricing than the Canon 10-22mm and it isn't EFS so it can be used on other cameras besides the DReb, 350XT and 20D. The Canon 10-22mm is a great wide-angle lens so I'm not complaining.
