Canon Powershot A470 battery problem

Hello

I have bought a Canon A470 and additional AA NIMH Varta Rechargeable Power accu 2700 mAh batteries. the problem is that when i put in camera fully charged batteries, it indicates "please replace batteries" and when i put in brand new classic alkaline batteries it says the same thing. I have tested them on discman and they are fully charged... Is that problem of firmware or I have "wrong piece" of camera? Have anyone had the same expirience?

If the terminals both in the camera and on the batteries are clean then I would take it back to where you bought it and show them the problem.

Did you get this sorted? We have the exact same problem on a new Powershot A470.
