This was taken on our road trip around the Scottish islands...

A quick touch up in Photoshop (took out the hand rail going into the chapel)
Don't know if a tighter crop would help?

How could I improve this shot?

The church is a little too central for my liking, also those items to the right of the fence don't look good. I would have cropped like this (took some off the bottom as well):

I disagree with speedie's crop...the fence was a good element that drew your eye in, and now you've just got the shadow of it on the ground. I think the comp is okay, you just needed to wait for better light.

I also like the fence in the photo, however, I totally agree with waiting for better light. The shadow from the fence is slightly distracting. Nice exposure on the building!

I wanted to keep the fence in as the Chapel was built by Italian POW's when the area was a POW camp.. I think it adds to the pic??

Have done another quick edit taking the shadows away and cleaned up the back ground in the second.. any better??

I also like the fence in the photo, however, I totally agree with waiting for better light. The shadow from the fence is slightly distracting. Nice exposure on the building!

Nice job. I like the first photo, and with a little work, the second photo would be really nice!

Beautiful shot! Hmm... I like the shadows, I think it looks a little unrealistic without it- but I like the cleaned up background. Maybe take a little of the top and the bottom to make it a little less square?

If I took out the shadow from the flowers and chapel, would that help or just leave them in and clean the background?
