sd 1000 lcd stopped working

I've had my sd 1000 for about 2 years and its always worked fine untill yesterday. I turned it on and everything seems to work except the screen is black. Anybody have any suggestions or have had that problem? Bob

Sorry, I don't have a suggestion but am curious to hear replies as I have one also about 2 years old and it's been a great little camera so far. Hope you get some helpful suggestions.:)
