First it was the P.O.T.N op-Tech Strap (I can't wait it's is getting sooooo close) and then a donation (well worth every penny), and now I've taken my first ride on the "L" train. I just ordered my 70-200 F4 L from B and H. :)

I'm sure that as I keep reading, you all will find many more ways for me to spend my $$$$. :p

It's like a disease, napolar. Welcome to the club.
And, btw, the "L" train has many, many stops, so hold on for dear life ;-)

I agree! First it was the strap, then a hood, then some spare caps, then a battery grip from the FS forum, then my L lens and now a tripod to hold it all.... Oy Vey!

Hear hear!

In the short time I've been here, its cost me an Epson P2000, the 17-40L and horror of horrors the 1D Mk 2!

Have you no shame?

Just remember, it's not an addiction, just a mild obsession! First L series a couple months back, the new macro arrived yesterday, need to concentrate on which wide angle and a good "general purpose" lens.

I don't need to feed the kids that much, do I?

Vettegraphy, I hope the grip is working out for ya. :)

As for the L train and spending money, you're all tooooooooooooooo influencing - I better stop coming here j/k. :) I've got a couple of prime lenses I'll be getting soon, and after that a ticket for the L maybe??

WepWaWep, Ramen noodles go a long way - 10 for 1.00, can't beat that sale. It'll feed a family of 4 for days.

Folks, complaining is useless... we are all on the same boat :D

What we can do, is to try some mass shopping. Who knows, maybe if we are for example 15 or 20 to want a 400 L lens, maybe we can get a deal somewhere... Dunno, its just an idea.

HOLY COW!!!! CDS if that's true - you've probably wasted away to nothing. With 12,000 + posts in a month you couldn't have had any food or drink in that time. ;);)

Maureen, I woudn't mind going to an island populated with like-minded photo nuts, as long I know ahead of time we can get a guarantee from UPS to deliver whenever the bug to add '....just ONE MORE lens' to our collections overcomes us.

Mild? Speak for yourself!

It was a slight exaggeration I think ;)

Yeah, this forum makes me feel like, US$1000 = US$0.10 when clicking the BUY button, but my credit card bill still shows $1000. :(

Isn't that the truth! On this forum, you don't mind paying $700 for the 17-40L because "At least it's not $1300 for the 16-35 :D".

Definitely a different perspective around here. But I love it.

People, people, take it from a veteran.. it takes a huge amount of hard work and possibly some threats of beating and divorce to be free of the L disease. I'm happy to say that at this point in time I'm the proud owner of exactly zero L lenses, and the money is back in the bank.

napolar, may god (or maybe your spouse) have mercy on you. The disease borders on incurable.
