I was not really shooting the the sky, just testing out a new tripod. Came back home about 30 minutes ago to check shots and barely saw this..

first pic is UNEDITED except for crop and resize
second pic is EDITED and 100% cropped to show the objects shape

Looks to me like your stock standard OOF ufo photo - like millions of others taken every year.
- or could be some kind of lens flare....

you should sell this photo to a ufo magazine or something... haha

Queue theme to The Twilight Zone!

Seriously though, at what were you pointing the camera?

Did you have a filter on the lens? I’ve had similar looking flare with a UV/IR block filter fitted, from the planet Jupiter which was in the field of view.

Cheers

I, for one, welcome our new red-square-around-green-spaceship overlords.

but seriously, that's a cool shot. I'm a believer in aliens visiting us...that would have been my first guess. If it's real, have it authenticated.

this is lens flare due to your UV filter.

Definately lens flare. Here is a good explanation of what it can look like. It's a ghosting/flare of what was reflected:

Lens flare or internal reflections. Had something quite smilar when I took an exposure of a landscape with some bright stadium lights near the bottom centre, except in my image I had three "alien flying jellyfish", floating in formation above the ground! ;)

Where did the photos go?

I want to see the little green men too!

Who exactly does the "authentication"? !!!

yeah....I just came across this thread...and after reading all the comments I want to see the pictures too lol. All I see are two empty squares where the images used to be....perhaps they were "beamed" away? ;)

I didn't get the spelling quite right but...

yeah ok, one of the photos is back up, but it's pretty obvious that if you were pointing the camera you would have seen "the spacehip" in the viewfinder.

The fact you didn't see it until you got home tells me it is exactly what others here have said it is.......unless it had special alien "non visible to human eyes but visible to camera sensor" paint! ;)

So I guess I can take my foil hat off...........for now!
