I just got my new 16-35L II and had a blast with it in Paris (the city, not the skank)... so anyway, tell me what you think :)

They are all stunning, personally i'm gonna have to go with that last shot of the tower.

Personally I think most shots are exposed for the sky - which leaves the tower or Arch underexposed. My first trip to Paris was with my new (at the time) 30D and I had the exact same type of shots. I was not pleased. I used to get good results with film. But shooting digital is different than film. I had overcast skies the whole time I was there. SEE? With a little post production with a digital processing program (I use ACR) you can improve these shots to make'em even better treasures to remember.
The composition is great - I just think the exposure is off on a few.

thank you too for your feedback.
maybe to my defence without wanting to be defensive, i upped the contrast on purpose to separate the eiffel tower and the city beneath from the sky. plus working with the histogram on my cam i didn't want to blow the sky away. so i underexposed 1.3 stops, go at least get the clowds and all to have some texture. the eiffel tower was then keps at its original darkness, maybe some tweaks in contrast and fill light in PP.
sound reasonable or am i totally off with my style? :)

I like the silhouette processing as well. I would have bumped the contrast too. Thanks for sharing theses - it's making me look forward to my trip in November.

Actually I was wrong in my criticism - 2 of the photos that I were referring to are actually dusk/evening shots. In my haste to get through the thread I guess I was revisiting my own experience and didn't take the time to realize these were shot in dusk/evening rather than in the day. OOPS - sorry.
My criticism really only applies to the Arch shot - the other ones I THOUGHT were underexposed are actually very very well exposed.....sorry.

Very nice shots. I'm actually heading there in two weeks. Should have a full moon while there, too.
Mind if I ask where your first two shots were taken from? Thanks.

Thanks all!:)
i shot the first two of the tower from the Chaillot Palace. north-west of the eiffeltower.
the others were shot around the area of the Sacre Coeur and the Champs Elysees.
