I am considering buying this lens before the carnival in Copenhagen next week.

I would like to see some sample photos if You got any.

I know I can search on pbase but prefer to see photos from members here ;)

Tommy, take the short cut and just buy it. IMO, this is the best versatile lens Canon ever made. I'm passionately in love with mine :D

Do you think it's long enough for a carnival? of course I don't know how far/close are the subjects.

Yes I think it will be long enough for some of the situations. For the big parades I have my 70-200 f/4 and my 300 f/4. In some situations I will be just a few meters from the groups with few other spectators around. In other situations I will be far away with many people obstructing view etc...

And I will probably buy the lens tomorrow if the shop has it in store. In the meantime I would still like to see photos shot with this lens.

You should've bought it while you were in the US, you could have saved a fortune. You missed that chance ;)

Yes but the only good store I found in Orlando did not have it :( But I did but the 85 mm f/1.8 for $425 which is about $250 cheaper than in Denmark.

Hi Tommy

I've posted a three landscapes taken with the 24-70.
Two, two weeks ago entitled 'My first offerings' and the third a couple of days ago called 'Double first' if they're any use :)

Regards
