Hi, I'm new glad to find a place where I can chat about digital photgraphy and not have my husband look at me in that way!!!
Can any one help? Today I had a phone call from a digital printers (proffessional one) to say my image files were not large enough to print on larger scales. They said they had to be at least 150DPI I looked in my original image and could only see the resolution (would that be the DPI?) and the mbps HELP ME!! I have just started my little portrait business and this was my first job! What an idiot! Still if some one can help on what must be such a simple thing that would be great! I'm very embarrassed!

I strongly suggest searching this forum for DPI or PPI. The short answer is DPI only has meaning when coupled with a print size, and you can upsample in photoshop if you need to. There are specialist products that will do it, or the print store will probably do a better job.
