Setup my rig to try this.. Tripod mounted, Remote live view shooting with Precision manual focus at 10x magnification on the Laptop screen..

This one is a 50% Crop.. Shot wide open with the 2x TChttp://www.thephotographer.in/darkroom/images/smilies/smile.gif

400mm * 2 * 1.6 = 1280mm:)

Very nice moon image.

A note about focal length: you don't get to count the sensor size since the moon image projected onto the focal plane is not affected by the size of the sensor.
