Spend a while with some meerkats this afternoon. They truly are so much fun!

They're all excellent but 1/3/5 are my favourites. The DOF covers the subject perfectly and the bokeh is so smooth. Wonderful images.

Nice shots. I really like the way you have been able to separate the subject from the background. And in some pretty tough color conditions too. Very nice job.

They look cute but #3 shows they can get down to business when necessary.

Really nice!!

But where did you run into Meerkats, Richard? Aren't they native to South Africa? Do you have a wildlife preserve in your area?

Nice shots - I enjoyed them!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments

Daf, I ran into them at a (not so) local reserve. We spend mose of the afternoon at or near their enclosure and got a special treat when some food was introduce to one end - but in a way they had to forage for it.

Wow! Excellent pictures. These are really sharp. The one in the fourth picture almost looks mean... :D
