Like the color against B&W on the first one but..... you have toooo much saturation on the bike, I feel. I like it but the bike just pops way out of the picture. I think it poked me in the eye! lol
I feel the last one is on that same border but hasn't crossed over yet. Nice shots though.

Thanks for the comments, keep them coming...... I love saturation, but maybe it could be more on the edge ahhaha

I would slow the shutter speed down so that you have the motion blur in both the background and in the wheel (looks like you have a little on the second one), once you nail panning down life will be grand :)

I like the second one the best, i always find it helps if you leave more room in the frame in the direction the object is moving, helps with the feeling of motion again.

for the 1st one hahaha, I had no room to pan, the shot was between two trees in, but yeah panning for sure.

Thanks I will leave more room next time.

I agree that just a touch of motion in the wheels would make #1 much better. If there's room to take that shot, there's room to pan. You just need a couple inches movement in the ground.

The color showing through the front wheel in #1 also shows just how over-saturated the color is. (Are the shoulders blue and white?)

All that being said, I really like #1.

Lol, actually good catch, I didn't notice that, its a double exposure or layer because the background is supposed to be BW and I overlay the rider over it for effect, I will correct image tonight when I get home.

W/slider permission I did my first attempt to simulate motion blur. It wasn't easy to make it look as natural as his second shot. I know there are some minor issues with the shot and some masking imperfections but as a whole what do you think?

I can tell its blurred and not in motion.... Maybe try sewing and slight bluring ...

Not bad attempts.
most people have never tried panning at high profile motorsports events. You are VERY lucky to be able to get into a position where you can actually see the track, let alone pan.
I went to Assen last year, and had to shoot through a mesh fence, with literally hundreds of people pressing against me, to a point i where could even lift my elbows, let alone pan.

Here are my attempts...

Yeah I know the feeling, Laguna is great, but I HATE shooting through a fence, so hard to see where the fence is actually in the picture, until you PP and you see this weird white blurr........

The first one is too blurry IMO. I like the 2nd one. The 3rd one doesn't give me a sense of motion which is what moto GP is all about. The last one needs tighter cropping.

The third one doesnt have much speed as it was an area where he had swung from a long sweeping right hander, just after falling off. I wanted to catch him by himself with a sense of loneliness.
The fourth one doesnt need cropping, that would look crap. I have done it like this on purpose to show the whole track, and the area he is heading to, making it look a little different.
I choose these crops so they look dont look like every other bike shots you see.

More dynamic crops would help:
