It's the information automatically included with digital photos about the settings. If you right click a picture, hit properties, summary, & advanced it will show you the shutter speed, exposure ect. Sometimes after photos are edited in photoshop they won't show the data anymore.

You have to save the picture, then do the other steps to get the Exif
