Is there a universal wireless flash hotshoe trigger to all kinds of flash that's around $20? How much is it for a Canon brand anyway?

Is there a universal wireless flash hotshoe trigger to all kinds of flash that's around $20?In a word, no.
The closest thing to a "universal" flash trigger is probably a cheap (usually sold via ebay) radio remote. You'd need a transmitter to go on the camera, a receiver for each flash unit, and usually an adapter to connect the receiver to the flash unit. I doubt you can buy all of this for $20, though.
How much is it for a Canon brand anyway? What sort of Canon flash equipment are you thinking of?

$23.90 is the cheapest I found on ebay. If you live in a heavily populated area you may get misfires from interference.

I'd doubt that you get anything more than the transmitter and receiver (such as the adapter(s) necessary to connect various flash units to the receiver), but I'm interested in what you've seen.
