Yesterday, my wife and I took our boat on a cruise of the Chicago River. Here are a few of the many photos I took. Not much was done to them other than a bit of "lens Correction" P.P. C &C VERY welcome.

These are nice.
If you go at night the lights really make for good shots.
Nothing like Chicago at night!
Well maybe Vegas lol

Chicago is a pretty tough city to beat. It is a big urban, cultured area with a smaller city feel. And... it is pretty photogenic. Even for an amature like me.

Taking the pictures was the most fun. Now several of my friends want to go on the Chicago River too.

Just moved out to Chicago. Were these taken from a boat, or the new river walk?

I have a 16' boat with a 70hp motor. My wife and I took a 4 hour cruise (cue the Gilligan's Island theme).

Very nice series...

I find it immensely ironic that "Hizzonor" bulldozed Meigs due to "security" concerns but you can take a boat into the heart of the Loop.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

Hizzonor should worry more about the security of his citizens. We were warned by the Park District not to leave anything in our car at the launch ramp due to it being a "heavy gang activity area".

How do they plan on protecting all of the people who travel to the proposed olympics?
