Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I have a 40d and a 50d and wanted to know is there a set size for a photo if someone wants an origional on a disc. Just curious 40d and 50d take different sizes. Do pople work usall have a set size.

Do you mean the dimensions of the image or the number of megapixels? The ratio of the long side to the short side is 3:2 so without cropping the image will print at 6x4 or 7.5x5 or 9x6 and so on up the scale.

I mean if selling a disc of photo's to someone, Do you have a set size you give as an origional or just the size they come off the camera. Just cause 40d and 50d are 2 different sizes. Hope that doesnt sound confusing

I just give them the full size jpegs, edited and converted from the raw files. If I crop I tend to keep the aspect ratio the same as the original just for consistency.

Well, I would think that most people would think that the full resolution file straight form the camera would be considered the "original" size. Yes, an original file from cameras of different megapixels would be different sizes, but you can only give them what you have.

Unless they must have it at a certain resolution, then they should tell you that.
