Critique on Processing - 3 Month Old Girl

Here is the before and after. Posted the 'after' in the Kids&Family, but would like some honest feedback here. Does the coloring work? I used Lightroom for the processing. Anything I could do to improve?

I usually like the "old world" kind of processing on photos - but for some reason i feel like it doesnt work well with youngun's. Maybe on this, there is too much color (hat & shirt) to complete the feel.

Did you use a preset or do this yourself?

I'm a total newbie to photography but I think the reds look harsh next to a baby. I think perhaps you could try this in b&w? =)

I used one of the presets and made adjustments from there.

You're right about the red, it's a bit much. I'm going to try B&W.

COuld you post what you did to get the after look? Or which preset did you use?

This type of proccessing make the baby look like he/she is to pale.
