Yeah, we’ve had this conversation before on POTN, but something about this article just smells wrong to me:

QUESTIONS:
1) Ok, he’s there to shoot a feature story on these guys, that must have involved swimming. And yet he was quoted in the article as saying “Molloy said he tried to warn the men to get out of the water.”
2) I’m guessing that the “excitement” of getting your picture in the paper possibly encourages more foolish behavior from the knuckleheads in the water?
3) Another quote: “Lawson's friend, who was not identified, was able to swim to shore”. Ok so maybe the photographer is screaming at the guys to get out of the water, one guy is drifting towards the dam, adrenaline is probably really pumping for everyone at this point – and yet he’s still shooting?
4) How long was the guy holding onto that iron bar thing? Long enough to find a tree branch? Rope? Other method of rescue?
