A few shots taken on the Friday practice & Sunday race day with my trusty old 20d and equaly old Sigma 70-200 f2.8.

All the shots are cropped to some extent as the 70-200 really isn't long enough even on the 20d.

An excellent set. My only comment would be to watch your backgrounds. The last couple of shots are spoiled by the decapitated marshalls and the big yellow 'think' sign. Other than that, some good work!

Cheers,

Simon.

Thanks Simon. I see what you mean about the marshalls.

Trying to avoid banner signs is difficult as you know. Advertising seems to have become bigger and brighter in the last 5 years or so and dominates the view especialy at televised events.

Very nice photo's indeed.

Great colours, composition and sharpness.

I agree with Simon about the backgrounds on the last two photo's especially after seeing the first ones and as you say advertising is becoming much more common.

Thanks for the encouraging comments guys. The background is something I'll have to consider because I really can't be bothered cloning large areas , it would give me a migraine !!
