Ok, he's not in a jungle (guess you could tell), but he's sometimes wild as a jungle cat.

Sam and his sister, Suzy, are seal point Siamese (wedge head). Very spoiled!

One of my first shots taken with the new 350D. I know the lighting is a bit harsh, but I love the short DOF.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Yes, the blue eyes was one of the reasons I fell for the Siamese breed. Now that Sam is getting older, his markings in his face is getting a lot darker, to make the difference between those bright blue eyes and the dark facial fur bigger. Here's a post of Sam's sister... she's the camera shy one.

Oh I have a siamese too, but not the oriental look, you know, just what I've heard called a "applehead". Yours is a Gorgeous cat! Very exotic looking.

Here's mine:

Jemmind, actually the wedge head Siamese is a "breeding construction" and the apple head is the *classic* Siamese. As they came to Europe and Northern Americas from Siam (old Thailand). So be proud of your beautiful cat! What a cutie! Does your talk as much as mine does? They never let me get a word in when dinner is on the way. Geeesh.... but they are fun!

Sam and Suzy's most fun game is to play fetch. We have to throw things that they chase and bring back to us. Sometimes it can be a bit annoying though, especially when you wake up with a toy mouse behind your back and a cat trying to claw it out of there. They also like to play hide and seek, which can be a bit tiresome too... especially since they only meow if you've found them, so if one of them accidently gets locked into a cupboard or a room, you won't find them for an hour, they don't say a peep until you find them, then you're greated with a meow that means "what took you soo long, this was such an obvious place to hide?!"

Siamese are great, I have her "Kitten" and Tuff Stuff which is her son, and Scratch, which is not related, a lynx point mix but he is longhaired. They are all very talkative and have more personality than any other cats I've seen. And not just because the're mine:) Kitten likes to get things, like small stuffed animals and various cat toys and carry them in her mouth making this weird little meowing noise. I am not sure yet if she thinks she has caught a rat or found a baby kitten! Tuff is her son. He thinks he is a dog. He likes to lick people (and his belly) and he wags his tail, and he will jump into my arms from sitting on the ground. Here is Tuff :

And Scratch is a kitten my sister found. He was lost from his mom and so weaned too early. He also likes to lick and tries to suck on my lip or palm of my hand..he's *starting* to grow out of it though! .heres a baby picture and a current one:

One strange thing about siameses is that their coats darken as they get older. When Tuff was born, he was almost all whilte, with light grey tail and ears, but the older he gets the more his stripes are showing. Kitten used to be cream colored with chocolate points but her whole body is getting darker and darker, And Scratch's body stripes are much more visible now than when he was a baby. Oh, and for the story about Scratch, check out this post:

the pictures of him are gone from that post, but his story is there. You can figure out how he got his name. But he is an angel now. Except see the collar he is wearing? I had to thow it and Tuff's away b/c he tried to eat the rinestones off of it. He tries to eat weird things. My cats all have blue eyes but the always squint when I take their pictures so it's hard to show them off.
Well sorry for hijacking your kitty's thread. I love Siamese kitties!

Well, I started the thread and we talk about Siamese... seems like on topic to me. :D

Yeah, Sam and Suzy was almost all white, I took them from the same litter and they were the lightest ones. Suzy is still lighter than Sam, but their siblings are all much darker than them. I think their fur grows darker and darker for at least 5-7 years. Kind of amazing. I heard the "points" are dark because it's the coldest part of the cat, so I assume that they "cool off" with age.

Got more pictures of Sam and Suzy as kittens at: http://the-halls.se/cats (hit the english flag button to be able to read what I've written). That site really needs an update too (all pics taken with my Coolpix 5700, if you're allowed to say Nikon on this site) *giggles*
