Ways you get paid with your camera.

So initially I bought my camera because of my kids. Recently I've been wanting to upgrade lenses and such. Lately my wife starts in with the "Start making money with what you have and you can buy all of the equipment you want." I guess that in our household we believe in the idea that a "hobby" should pay for itself.

So what are some good ways to make cash on a part time basis?

Highest pay days for time spent is almost always blackmail photos, it is how I got almost all of my gear.

Try to get the most compromising images possible and don't bargain, hold out for the initial price you put out there or the "clients" won't respect you.

Start with friends, family or co-workers that are; playing around, pilfering work items, or just in embrassing poses around the house say in the bath.

Some of the latter with the wife maybe good for a lens or two but be cautious in the number of times you may dip into this well, it could cost you a house. ;)
