Today, I delivered several portraits to a realtor group for their headshots. While I was paid, all three, in a rare bout of honesty, said "hey, these are great. But we'll stick with what we have."

Dejected, I came home and opened my ebay account, where I have several items up for auction. I had three questions on the items. Each person wanted to know if the pictures in the listings were of the actual items, or if they were "downloaded".

So, while I apparently can't take pictures of people, I have the whole fishing reel picture thing figured out. Yeah me! :)

It's okay, I can't take pictures of people either. Everytime I go in the people forum I get laughed at :(

You sell pictures on ebay? I never thought about that, does it work?

Karl, I think mattograph meant that he/she took the pictures of some of the stuff they were selling and they were asking if those pics were downloaded from the internet. :lol:

But I do wonder if anyone sells their photos on ebay.????

@karl.... No, I don't sell the pics on ebay. They are pics of stuff I'm selling! :) Mostly fishing reels right now.......

White seamless headshots. They wanted something environmental.

The pisser is that there is so much photoshop in these (teeth whitening, wrinkles, skin softening, even a growth on a nose) that, to have them dismissed so quickly sucked.

But -- I did get paid! :)

That is key. You will always have people like this. I deal with it everyday in my business also (commercial property maintenance). I just smile, and remember, I got their money. Usually they call again, and usually I work with them again, but there have been times I told them I was too busy, sorry.

Good job on the photos. That really works well, and I'm a bit surprised to hear that they dismissed them so quickly.

But, at least you got paid, and got some experience. All in all, not a terrible thing. :)
