580EX - Range Indicator Display in Feet?

Hi there. I've been lurking for several months and am finally getting to post my first question. I have the 580EX flash and have been using it with much pleasure (once you tweek the FEC to your liking with the 20D that is!). My question is this....the Range Indicator on the LCD diplay only shows in meters. Being a metric challenged American (yes I can figure it out, but it's quicker to just KNOW how many feet it is), how the heck do I get the display to also show the range in feet? I've looked through the manual several times and for the life of me just can't seem to find the answer although the manual shows a lovely picture of the display panel with the scale in "feet" along with meters.

I'm sure that one of the many talented, knowledgable folks from all the posts I've read can provide a simple answer to my dilema.

It's described in a foot note somewhere in the manual. If you haven't found it tomorrow I'll dig ou said manual!

Fantastic - I did now find it - and it certainly is hidden in a little footnote as you stated. Multiple trips through the manual and it still had slipped me by. Thanks!
