I've just finished processing the photos from a wedding I shot on saturday and I'm puzzled as to how to appropriately title it. Usually on the inside CD-sleeve I have text something to the effect of:
'The wedding of
<groom>
and
<bride>

<date>'

But this couple actually got married in vegas some weeks ago; what I photographed was a cocktail wedding--with all of the appearances of a wedding (though obviously shorter and more intimate).

What should the text read?

haha. that would really add a touch of class, eh? I'm totally serious, though about appearances. There were bridesmaids and the best man and the 'officiant'. And everyone was dapper. And there were some squabbling and whisperings of familial tensions. A wedding from my perspective. Everything but the paper signing and sparkles from the lord.

Why change it? There's no need. It adds nothing and takes away nothing from the images. The couple knows very well that the CD contains images from their "second" wedding.

My parents had two wedding ceremonies and receptions ( one in Australia and one in the US), but each one they had photographers and each one came in a wedding album with their wedding date ( the first one) and their names. If you are printing the labels I guess it's not a big deal... but if you already had the discs printed then there is no need to change them. Just my 2cents.. Oh and +1 for the fake wedding of... ;-)

I just completed a wedding album for a couple in almost the same circumstance. He was called to duty a year and a half ago. They were engaged already, but wanted to marry. So they got married at the courthouse a few days before he flew off to Iraq. He returned the week after Christmas, and they had a Ceremony in May. I think their immediate families and I were the only ones who even knew about the first ceremony.

The title on everything I've done for them has been "The Wedding of..." As jgoodstein points out, they know when the photos were taken.
