What is Glamour/Fashion/Fine Art ?

I'm trying to better organize my photos on my web site and am having a hard time distiquishing between various types of photos. I have looked at dozens of other portfolios and it doesn't help matters. I guess my problem is I don't know what makes a photo a fashion photo versus a glamour photo versus a beauty photo. Here are some catergories I have found in others portfolios and in looking at the photos in each it seems arbitrary to me, what am I not seeing.

Editorial
Fine Art
Glamour
Fashion
Beauty
Portrait

They often have a model in a nice dress, striking a seductive pose in all of these categories. I just don't get it.

Such things are very subjective.

Forget about what others think, and think instead about what you were thinking and trying to achive at the time.

Rename your selections as follows:

Editorial
Commercial (what you callled fashion)
Fine Art
Glamour
Headshots (what you called beauty)
Portrait

Editorial - tells a story (can be high fashion)
Commercial - sells a product (can be high fashion)
Fine Art - something someone would show in a gallery
Glamour - trying to look your best with night on the town or dramatic makeup
Headshots - either plain for model portfolio or makeup for MUA and model portfolio
Portrait - non model shots
