I just hit the order button 2 new lenses which have gotten great reviews. I can't wait, till they get here next week.
Canon Zoom Super Wide Angle EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Autofocus Lens
and my "L" collection has started with the
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus
:):):)
Now my bank account is a lot lighter.
I will have to wait another few months to make my next purchase and round out my equipment. I will then get the hood for the 10-22 since they are on backorder right now, the 1.4 Extender, a Tripod, and the Canon Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3.

Wow, an expensive night for you! Congrats
I'm picking up a 17-40L at some point this summer. Can't wait to join the "club".

Looks good in you signature. Can't wait to get that 70-200, I'm holding out for the 2.8IS. Hopefully they will still have it by the time I get enough money together, lol.
I just recently got the 17-40L, I'm surprised with the wide DOF due to the wideness. Even at F4, you can get a hyperfocal distance of 12.5ft....so I believe that means everything is in focus at half that distance to you to infinity. I can't wait till they come out with a camera that calculates DOF and hyperfocal distances for you. :-P http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html

Looks familiar, I got my 70-200 2.8 IS last month, and just ordered a 10-22 Friday afternoon, can't wait for that to get here.

You made a wise decision with the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens. That's one of the 3 best lens out there along with the 16-35 and 28-75.

I am so sad to read this news as there is no cure for this syndrome. It is unfortunately fatal and only results in photos that have incredible sharpness and color. I too am a sufferer, having purchased the 100-400 L tele zoom over the winter. I did find that purchasing the 100 f2.8 macro this week helped alleviate some of the symptoms, but now find I seem to be craving a 17-40 L fix but have a bad case of Lfusion, what to get?
And It's really neat having that beautiful piece of glass on your camera as you stalk your latest victim! Congrats, welcome to the asylum!

My 2 new lenses just arrived UPS. The problem is that I am at work and won't be able to use them till I get home late tonight after a meeting. I am dying to try them out but they will have to wait.
I'll post my first shots ASAP

Congrats, I have the 10-22 and love it. Wish I could get the 70-200 but will have to wait. But I did get the 100-400 and really like that one too. Don't forget to post some pics!

Congrats Eric on your lens purchase! You are sure to enjoy them. My L just may show up today, but I'm at work so won't be able to get my fix until I get home tonight. Just hope the guy/gal with the brown uniform doesn't trip and drop it on the driveway!
Good luck with your glass(es) and be sure to post pics!

Thanks Dennis. I really like that 24 for its super resolution. I also use the 17-40L and it's a killer. I have the 70-200 2.8L (non IS) too and that is such a great lens. I don't know if I really have a use for any other L glass. I use the 85 1.8 and 50 1.8 a lot. I may go for a 50 1.4 next but don't see a real need ....yet.;) I had a tough time deciding between the 24L & 35L but I think I made a good choice. I do weddings and have decided to go the prime route instead of the 16-35, 24-70 combo. I have heard the 24-70 can have problems with the 20D so I've avoided it for now.

Oh god... I feel like a n00b now (in fact, i am one) for getting the 17-40 L 2 days ago... should have got the 70-200 instead.
But I wanted wide angle at that time... I guess I will save moeny for the 70-200...

Hi congratulations, it is very addictive and this forum does not help at all. It is a Canon marketing dream. One L and two other lens purchased since joining!
lkorell: what problems have you heard about the 24-70 with the 20D, I have both and was not aware of any problems.
Thanx

On the 20D & 24-70 I have seen many posts regarding soft images. I know of one person who sent two lenses back to Canon! Then another who had to send the camera and the lens. I don't want to cause a panic here, i just wanted to wait until I see more research on the issues before going ahead with that kind of purchase. Plus, I don't really need that lens right now cause I think I'm pretty well covered. If I did choose a zoom (other than my 17-40 which I love) I'd probably go with the 16-35 anyway. With a 24 & a 50 I don't really need the 24-70.
