View Full Version : More Hawk Families: Red-shoulder Hawks this time

This is the Red-shoulder Hawk Family. Been watching them for 2 seasons now too. The adults are doing a REALLY good job of hiding from me this year. Their nest is closer to the ground, but getting good shots is still tricky. From one side I can stand in the parking lot and shoot up and maybe get some blue sky - from the other side I have to stand almost in the street and shoot into the shadows. Even so, it's too cool just to watch these guys.

Hah! They are awfully cute little highly evolved predators!

Great job on the nest hunting.. wow. What a great find.
Excellent clear pics. Despite the branch.. the second is my favorite!

Nice. I love the second shot with both of them peering out like that.

Funny how they manage to have that "Killer" look in their eyes even at this age.
