View Full Version : My daughter with lightweight equipment.

In my attempt to go as lightweight as possible and still keep high image quality I just purchased a Canon 50 f/1.8 and a Canon 270EX flash.

This is my first test picture of my 3½ year old daughter:

I think I will love this light combo - it will stay on my camera whenever it is just lying around the house - ready for action :D

If you really want lightweight, consider picking up a cheap used 400D to put the 50 and the flash on - I have 2 400Ds as well as my 5Ds and they're brilliant little cameras. Also great as backups as they hardly take any space in the camera bag.

nice result, I love the 50 1.8 as well.

I haven't tried it above f/2.8 yet, but I hope it ill be fine as open as f/2.2

I don't want to offend anyone, but personally I really don't like the "feel" of Canon entry-level DSLRs :oops:

Enjoyed the pic. I am in the process of building my equipment inventory backup. I just switched from Sony and sold all of my equipment. I miss my 50mm and a good flash. Was thinking about not going back with a 50mm but after seeing some great pics on here with it I changed my mind. thanks for sharing your picture.
