Last weekend was a Division 2 event on the River Washburn in Yorkshire England. The river is in a dark wooded valley, so getting the shutter speed up was hard, luckily there are just 2 place where there is enough light to get a shot and I think these came out OK.

Nice shots, especially 2. Not only great facial expressions, but kudos to the guy in the stern of the C2 for still doing it at his age!

Very nice shots, especially # 2. Great angle and it really shows the importance to get the facial expressions in many sports.

Yes both have good facial expressions. But I like the angle of the boat in #1 better and how it’s crossing the frame.

+1, but there seems to be a bit of noise, is it a crop od the image?

Thanks for looking guys.

I see what you mean about the boat being across the frame in #1 , it does make a better image.

The noise is in the image, I had to shoot these at ISO 800 or higher and I can get a lot on noise on the 30D. I know these will clean up and print out fine at 9x6 (the size I sell them at) so not too worried.

He is an ISO 800 with the noise removed using DPP.
