View Full Version : Shed In A Field

On the look out for a good sunset spot, last night, I got lucky and found this spot. Very happy with how this one turned out. I altered the WB to give it a different mood. This is a combination of HDR and composite blending. Due to it being windy, the plants were moving between exposures. This created a mess when merged. The sky and shed are HDR and the field is from a single exposure blended in.

this is breathtaking... the only i might do is crop the bottom not quite so low but spectacular.

Thank you FW.
When I was PP'ing this photo I did try many crops including the one you suggested. While still an excellent crop, this one is the one that appealed to me the most. Even now, after you suggested it, I revisited it quickly and tried the crop as I was second guessing my choice but I still prefer this crop. Still a great suggestion! :)

i think by cropping it you lose the stems which i think helps the interest in the foreground. i love it as is.

Both photos are beautiful. Really nice job!!
First photograph is tricky when it comes to cropping. Have you tried to crop the sky instead, so that the horizon is in the upper half of the photo? I'd experiment with it, but it's pretty nifty as it is too.

Wow. Very nice.
I've tried doing instant crops with the scroll in browser, and honestly, cropped sky or cropped bottom both work - as does no crop at all.

Thank you all very much! As mentioned, all 3 crops work and I did try all 3 when PP'ing this image and again this is the one that appealed to me the most. YMMV :)

Awesome shots. They are vivid and brilliant, yet remain beautifully natural for a HDR image. Fantastic shots and PP work.

Thank you all very much! Honestly at the time of taking these shots I didn't think they would be anything special. It was a quick stop to kill a bit of time. Glad they turned out really nice. Might have to print one and frame it.

Thank you very much Gorveatt. Honestly, sometimes I impress myself lol but I guess that comes with learning and getting better at this thing called photography. Or as I call it, "Artography".
