Im looking at this one for myself. Its 2.4ghz compared to the 400mhz cheaper versions that are subject to a lot of interference. There is a video in there to check out.

Check out also http://dealextreme.com. I have bought wireless and wired remotes for 450D, just about $5 each, including shipping. An those have been working well. Last week I just ordered wired remote for my 50d, $5 incl. shipping.

I will have some Phottix Platos available here shortly, I am out of the full Strato kits. These sound promising because they have 2 way communications so you know whether your receiver is in range right on your transmitter, plus 2.4ghz is great.

At the top of every page here on POTN is a link in red that reads
P.O.T.N. SUPPORT SHOP IS OPEN, check it out now!
If you click on that link, then when you get to that page, on the left hand side click on the catgory for remote controls.
You can chose from wired and wireless.
Here's the link (http://www.procameragear.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/46_48/products_id/422) to a wireless control for the 50D.
You can also bet that since it's the POTN support shot, you probably won't have too many problems with it.

I bought this model about 2 weeks ago to use for fireworks shots on the 4th.
Easy set up, and it worked flawlessly.

I also bought my wireless model from the P.O.T.N. Shop at the top of the page and love it....didn't find it necessary to email, just bought it off of the web site. Also thought it was a good idea to support the Photography On The Net web site.
