I just set up a wordpress blog at www.andrewdayphoto.com/blog
Please take a look and let me know what you think. I want to get it to look uniform to my original site www.andrewdayphoto.com
I may need to use a different masthead to match the overall color scheme...

Comments and criticism welcome!

I think its okay, I enjoyed reading it. I don't think you need the twitter podcast drop down menu, thats the only thing. Maybe if it were tucked to the side or actually visible in the main screen it'd be better.

Bit off topic but I think your website loads way too slow
I've been waiting a minute and its only at 32 % and im on highspeed wireless..I don't know if its just me or what but it's taking forever.

Yeah, the designer loaded the entire site in one flash file at the beginning. I am looking for someone to help me get that fixed...

I know I'm not that patient either. Neither is the rest of the world. Code Red issue.

Assuming you paid for the site (as opposed to it being a freebie from a friend) why don't you just tell the designer you're unhappy with the load time and that you would like it fixed?

Mate your home page took about 2Mbps of bandwidth for 15 seconds. I'm guessing almost 4MB to see the front page of your website, which takes 5-30 seconds on broadband, and 25 minutes on a modem - yes people still use them. General usability guidelines are 8 seconds max load time for a web page. And you know what sucks? There are no photos. I have no idea why it needs to much bandwidth. Also scroll bars within a web page are generally frowned upon, but at least yours is easy to grab. I'm not sure if you're trying to sell your services... but it really doesn't look like it.

Your blog matches the site, it's a standard ProPhoto theme.

Cool photos on the blog btw. On the main site kinda blah.

Thanks, these are issues I am aware of, I appreciate the feedback to help me realize that I really do need to get this fixed. Thanks for the compliments and critique!

...anyone know a reasonable and talented designer?
