haloing adjustments

how much haloing can i remove with just photomatix, which slider would i adjust, and can anyone recommend a good noise removal software. i have photomatix and elements 7. dont want to drop the dough for CS til i learn more.

can't answer your haloing question, you have to try it yourself, but for the noise removal software, I am using Noiseware. It works very well for me.

Try moving micro smoothing to the right.
