empty nest syndrome - no photos

Had to go to Baltimore today - when I returned, sure enough, the wren nest was abandoned. I could hear the parents calling in the woods next to the driveway - a short investigation revealed at least three of the chicks hopping through the underbrush, headed towards the poison ivy.
So, I guess that ends my saga with this batch. It was a treat to see them and I wish them all of the best in their futures.
